Just a random summer picture

Since I was on a summer blog vacation, I have been recently looking through summer pictures. Here is a random picture I found. After Joel took the trek with the youth, we (meaning me) were curious what the trek trail looked like.

So one weekend we jumped in the excursion and headed up towards New Harmony to drive the trail. This was the first stop we made, it was where the Mormon battalion came and met up with the trekkers and took the men with them leaving the women to pull the next hill (a mile long) by themselves. I must say the womens pull was the steepest hardest hill of the whole trek (way to go girls).

Anyhow we stopped here so Joel could tell us stories, I was excited about this awesome old looking house that I could take pictures of the kids by, so I quickly assembled them for the first picture....and after I took it, my battery died! So this was the ONLY picture we took!

Anyhow it was neat to see where they stopped and ate meals, where they camped, and here stories that come back easier when you drive along the trail. It made for a great day!

Happy Anniversary ME and HIM

After trying to find a picture of Joel and I together I realized that it's a RARE thing for us to both be in front of the camera together. So here's a picture of HIM without ME ;-) Happy Anniversary babe!

Kyler starts pre-school

What a BIG BOY Kyler is!!! He has started pre-school with Mrs. Johnson! He loves going to Amy's house for pre-school. Here he is on his first day, and of course Parlee was happy to join in on the fun too!

Cannonville

Here's a few pictures from our annual outing to Cannonville (Bryce Canyon) to visit my Aunt, Uncle and cousins.

We have so dang much fun up there (except the gnats this year) that it was hard to come back home to hot old St. George!

We love the park across the street, hiking around, we hiked Mossy Cave and all around the town. In fact all my boys wanted to do was hike, hike, hike!

Joely tried on my cousins prom dresses and modeled them for us, and spent time doing her hair in Chelsea's bathroom where there are more hair things then can be imagined ;-)

First day of school

Okay no mocking me friends and family of mine, this may be WAY over due ;-) But here are Joely and Taran on their first day of school....doesnt look much different then any day of school when you wear a uniform though.

Joely has started 5th grade and has Mrs Fife (that was Tarans teachers Aide last year...we LOVE her!)

Taran is in 2nd grade and has Mrs Westover.
